Fusion Professionals Wins Contract to Implement Oracle Exadata Cloud at Customer in Australia

Fusion Professionals, a Sydney-based IT consulting firm and a Gold level member of the Oracle Partner Network (OPN) today announced that one of Australia’s largest domestic rail freight businesses has selected it to implement Oracle Cloud at Customer in Australia. The company chose Fusion Professionals to deploy the Oracle cloud solution due to Fusion Professional’s proven expertise with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Cloud.

According to Fusion Professionals COO, Radomir Vranesevic: “The solution enables our client to deploy Oracle Cloud behind their firewall and stay in control of where their data is located. This multi-year contract will see us adding additional resources to support growing number of Oracle Cloud at Customer deployments in the future.”

Oracle Cloud at Customer provides the rail freight company the opportunity to access a range of key database cloud features in its own data centre. Features include partitioning, active data guard, advanced compression, real application clusters, in-memory processing encryption and much more.

Oracle is progressively rolling out the Oracle Cloud at Customer solution globally — its introduction to Australia occurred earlier this year.

“Oracle has been working with Fusion Professionals for more than 10 years and is thrilled to be working alongside them to deploy Oracle Cloud at Customer,” said Steve McLoughlin, General Manager, Alliances and Channel, Oracle Australia and New Zealand. “Oracle Cloud at Customer uniquely combines the world’s number one database technology and the most powerful database platform, with the simplicity, agility and elasticity of a cloud-based deployment.”

The Oracle Cloud at Customer portfolio of services enables organizations to get all of the benefits of Oracle’s public cloud services in their data centres. The business model is just like a public cloud subscription; the hardware and software platform is the same; Oracle experts monitor and manage the infrastructure; and the same tools used in Oracle’s public cloud are used to provision resources on the Oracle Cloud at Customer services. This is the only offering from a major public cloud vendor that delivers a stack that is 100 percent compatible with the public cloud but available on-premises, ensuring that customers get the same experience and the latest innovations and benefits using it in their data centres as in the public cloud.

Oracle recognises Fusion Professionals for its expertise in providing highly-specialist knowledge and experience in building, fine-tuning and operating enterprise-grade platforms. It supports business transformation to public and private platforms through converting to software as a service (SaaS), integrating with platforms as a service (PaaS), and providing programs and implementation methods that adds value to customers.
